How to get free parking at Costco Melbourne
Two out of the last three car trips to Costco I’ve had my parking ticket eaten up by their machines.
The other time I wound up being stuck behind someone who had their ticket eaten by the boomgate machine and then had to wait sandwiched between cars.
When the machine eats your ticket you have to get out of your car and go and find somebody (god forbid somebody comes to you). This for me has meant running across the carpark and up the stairs because apart from trolley guys there’s no other employees down there.
I did ask the tyre changing guys and they just said someone should be floating around (there wasn’t).
Last weekend the ticket machine once again ate my ticket (FIX YOUR STUPID PARKING MACHINES COSTCO!) and this time I cracked it.
After walking around a bit I ditched the usual rigmarole of finding someone and instead made use of this convenient exit.
