As a early Gen Y who was born in the 80s, MJ is our pop king, and always will be... With the negative stigma, I think MJ is more like a child himself and I believe he would not do anything to hurt those children... Billie Jean is always gonna be my favourite for the next whatever many years... That person listening to his music in the car this morning could be me ;)

After '93 his music was pretty much delegated to private listening in my home or occasionally in the car. With all the hysteria surrounding pedophilia, despite being acquitted and never charged there was always a huge negative stigma around his fans. It was nice being around other people I felt I wouldn't have to defend him against if we started talking about him or I was listening to his music. After the service and riding to work I heard someone's stereo playing his music in a car, it was kinda weird as it's not something I've heard in someone elses car for a very long time. I guess with sales going through the roof it's probably something that's going to be a bit more of a common occurence till the hype dies down. I'll still be listening in 20-30 years time.
