I dunno it’s hard to tell, so many people seem to have piggy backed onto the original book and come out with their own versions and what not.

As for blaming the followers, well I’m not saying they’re the smartest of the bunch. However if you read something and think it’s credible and then someone involved says ‘hey do this with me’, is it your fault it goes horribly wrong or theres? Especially if it’s not a random out-of-my-hands chain of events.

He was not the author of ‘The Secret’, Rhonda Byrne is. Many of the ‘teachers’ featured in the book and the movie are far from the caliber Ray has proven out to be. Seems that Ray let his experience with success and fame go to his head and went overboard. However, with that said, we cannot remove the responsibility from those who participated in his ‘sweat lodge’ voluntarily and blindly.

The principles in The Secret say nothing about giving up your own mind to follow another’s blindly. It teaches you to trust your own inner mind and to focus on that which you are wanting.

It’s sad that people are blaming The Secret for this event rather than look at one individual for his responsibility and the others for their participation.

The interesting thing about PMG is that they go for the subconscious – everything is meant to “safepoint” you for Scientology. Beyond Freedom Evolution is Scientology, pure and simple. Once you accept “Departure,” you move into “Decision” then “Action,” and before you know it you’re thinking like a Scientologist! And you paid several thousand dollars to make that happen!

And I’m not bagging on Scientology; everyone has a right to believe as they choose… but I do wonder if they back the PMG venture?

Or does Shane Krider fancy himself as the next L. Ron Hubbard?
