Pauline Hanson hates Muslims, decides to move to UK
In a recent Sunrise interview Pauline Hanson declared that she would not be selling her house to Asian’s living overseas. Australian’s of Asian background were ok but anyone who is Muslim need not apply.
I’m not exactly certain of what happens if an Australian of Asian background who is Muslim applies, but I’m pretty sure the entire universe explodes.
Far be it from me to tell Pauline Hanson who and who she can’t sell her house to but it does raise some interesting questions about Hanson’s recent decision to relocate to the UK.
Aside from the irony of famously complaining about immigrants and then becoming on yourself, for someone who claims that she believes Muslims are incompatible with the Australian way of live, is moving to the UK that smart a move?
The Muslim population of Britain according to their 2001 census was 1,536,015, or 3% of the population. The British newspaper ‘The Times’ put the British Muslim population at 2.9 million as of January 2009.
Plus it’s no state secret that Britain has been heavily Islamicised over the past decade. Britain even set up its own muslim friendly Sharia court system.
Comparatively the Australian Muslim population sat at 340,392 or 1.3% of the population in 2006 according to our own census.
This of course doesn’t take into account that 99.99% of Muslims living in Australia live in the western suburbs of Melbourne and Sydney. Pauline Hanson however lives up in Coleyville in Queensland.
I’m sure the one muslim who lives up in Queensland is absolutely outraged they won’t be able to purchase Pauine Hanson’s house.
Statistically Pauline Hanson’s got more chance of moving into a house in the UK that has had Muslims live in it then selling her Queensland home to a Muslim in Australia.
Unfortunately we won’t know for a while as due to the negative backlash over her comments, Hanson has removed her property from the market.
Her LJ Hooker real estate agent, Keith Edwards, said he’d received an onslaught of emails and calls following the controversial comments.
“Some of (the emails) have been pretty upsetting… I got the abusive and threatening phone calls last night (Wednesday night), I didn’t sleep.
I got swags of abusive emails, with non-returnable addresses, just cowards.”
I’m not sure if this is code for death threats and crazy jihads ala South Park but I wouldn’t at all be surprised if it was.
As for Hanson’s comments themselves, I somewhat agree with her. Whilst my scope isn’t as broad as to cover all Muslims, I firmly believe there should be no place in Australia for crazy nutjobs Muslim extremists.
I’d like to pretend I wouldn’t but I know that if I was selling a house and a self styled cleric rocked up with his Burqa clad wife complaining about my pork sausages in the fridge after an inspection, I’d be feeling slightly uneasy.
An interesting comment from Queensland’s Anti-Discrimination Commissioner Neroli Holmes was thrown in at the end of the news.com.au article;
Ms Hanson’s latest stance against Muslims and foreign investors puts her at risk of breaching the state’s discrimination laws.
Yeah, I’d love to see the government try that one on. The real estate industry has been discriminating against people for years. Try renting some property as a pet owner or as a single mum with kids some time.
…welcome to the Australian real estate industry boys.

I couldn’t agree with you more Oz. Being an Australian with a strong Indian background – I am absolutely disgusted by Pauline Hanson – and the fact that she has ironically decided to jump ship to England is ridiculous. She loses whatever little credibility she had left – and watching recent news coverage on it last week – it seems the Pom’s themselves don’t really want such a racist in their own land.
About time she tastes some of the shit she loves to dish out. And I hope that she is ratted out of England. I really do.

I don’t think anyone here wants ‘extremists’ of any sort. Why does the media keep singing ‘Muslim-Extermeists’?? What happened to all the extremeists of other religions… and racist extremists like Pauline… silly… I’m sick of hearing the term M.E. Bush really did a good job of demonising muslims as a bunch of terrorists… just sick of it…. no wonder muslims are angry.. I’d be pissed too..
The media are just as responsible,… why even use the term ‘muslim extermists’ in this article..most articles that have the word MUSLIM in it usually have the word ‘exteremist’ or something of the sort, it is like putting in KKK every time u mention Christian groups… GET A GRIP GUYS!

They stopped getting themselves into the media by being stupid?
The last religious nutjob I can remember in Australia was that Catch the Fire ministries guy saying Melbourne’s bushfires were because of our sins (specifically homosexuals I think from memory).
Muslim extremists just keep on getting themselves into the headlines on the other hand.
What, you want Hanson to get even more airtime?!
No… muslim extremists did that pretty much on their own.
What else am I going to call them, radical muslims? Crazy muslims? Nutjob Muslims who take the Quran too far and need a reality dose?
Extremism is extremism, how else are you supposed to differentiate them from the rest of the muslim population?

Uuuggh you clearly didn’t get my point. The article is about Pauline and her madness ‘muslims in general’ -why do we habitually squeeze in words like extremeists. If you do your research you will find that most often; everytime the word muslim is used there are corrosponding negative word/ association to go with it. It’s like eveytime an article mentions the term Gay, we should associate ‘mental disorder & DSM’ or something of the kind that links it to madness or a disorder. That happened until it was removed from the DSM as a mental disorder as recently as the 7O’s.

Because I don’t have a problem with muslims, I have a problem with muslim extremists. What else do you want me to call them?

How can you agree with her? She never said she doesn’t want ‘crazy nut job Muslim extremeist’ to buy her home. Nor did she say the KKK, or SS. I’m just wondering why you didn’t extend your list of crazy nut jobs to include others LMFAO – Forget it …sheesh! Why even associate it with crazy nut jobs.. Throws the DSM at you LOL

I think the point alot of people are missing is its the minority of different races that can be extremists. There are still alot of really decent people that roam our earth.

Admit it, Pauline saw the writing on the wall. She may not have articulated her foresight very well but nonetheless she did see it. I respect her for that, I just wish she had let others do the talking for her.
I personally love asians but I absolutely hate the islamic ideology, so on that basis she only got my vote once. As for her choosing to sell her house to who ever she chooses, the last ime I checked their was no law preventing anyone refusing to sell their house to anyone for any reason.
I will continue to spread my knowledge about the damage islam causes to our culture and will not rest until either the quran is changed or ialsm is reformed, one of the 2.
So in conclusion thank you Pauline for raising this important issue in the political arena, without you the consequences could have been far worse.

What did Pauline get to the UK and realise there was more muslims there, OMG who would of thought. Honestly Pauline get your self an education, oh and she will never run my country Australia the country that was built by my ancestors, keep on dreaming.
Pauline is so uneducated with her understanding of anything Islamic, has she even met a muslim, (doubt) easier to point the finger at someone else when you are full of self loath, I pity her.
