Life can’t be easy for Hello Kitty. Worshipped by millions of helium-voiced pint-sized squealing Asian girls around the world, for some unexplained reason the cat-like cartoon figure has obtained unmatched cult-like status.
From pre-pubescent girls who don’t know any better to disillusioned teenagers struggling to find meaning in their life to young women desperate to cling onto their youth to mature post-menopausal relics who after a lifetime of conditioning just can’t help themselves, the Hello Kitty phenomena transcends all demographic boundaries.
Hell, even Taiwanese guys get in on the Hello Kitty action from time to time.
Well, it appears as if all this pressure and devotion has finally gone to Hello Kitty’s head. Hello Kitty is pissed off and you only have yourselves to blame.
It started the other day when my girlfriend came home from 7-11 with this Hello Kitty plastic binder.
Looking innocent enough, the binder features Hello Kitty in a brown dress giving the thumbs up.
Awww.
The next day however another Hello Kitty binder surfaced.
Looking a bit more agitated, it appears that Hello Kitty might have dropped something and is asking for help.
(well either that or Hello Kitty is offering me a blowjob…)
On the third consecutive day, it appeared a line had been crossed and Hello Kitty had had enough.
Turning around to give us the finger, Hello Kitty apparently wants out.
No more will she idly stand by and let her image be exploited onto the cheesiest of merchandise some marketing hack at Sanrio comes up with. FUCK YOU AND THE BUBBLE TEA YOU RODE IN ON!
Available from 7-11, we’re not entirely sure what triggers the staff handing out the binders. We daily purchase the extremely delicious 7-11 ‘Cafe Mocha’ cold milk for breakfast yet yesterday when I went in and purchased 3 of them, I got nothing.
My girlfriend on the other hand walks in, buys just two milks and gets handed a Hello Kitty binder.
In other news I think the local 7-11 clerk might have a crush on my girlfriend…

Personally i’m getting a bit sick of walking into 7-11 and seeing it plastered with posters for that stupid girl group – they all look like freaking ghost-white clones of eachother!
