I’m not holding my breath over her contacting me, generally you don’t totally vanish unless there’s a good reason to.

The last thing she told me was to forget about her and that she didn’t want to talk about it. Then she resigned from work and vanished. To be honest I have no idea where she is, I swung by her house and there were no cars there and it looked empty.

She knows how to contact me so I guess she has her reasons for dissappearing and not wanting me to know anything, and I’m not about to start stalking people.

I was worried sick for a few months and still I’ve got that nagging question of ‘what happened’ but there’s only so much you can do. Writing on OzSoapbox got me through a lot of it.

I figure if she ever wants to contact me she knows how to so I’ll just try and move on. I had the money set aside to go to Taiwan last year and I hadn’t spent it so I figured why not make it interesting and move there.

Who knows why people do the things they do.

Excellent attitude you’ve got there.
I believe you will have a great time with that sort of attitute where ever you travel.

Thanks. I think it’s due to knowing I plan to live there, so I guess there’s a different mindset of just visiting.

If you’re just visiting you want to cram in as much food, women and sightseeing as possible I guess. I can afford to take things slower and appreciate it more.

By the way, except for the Chinese who moved to Taiwan with KMT in 1945, a lot of the original Taiwanese are a mixture of Southern Chinese, Aborigines, Japanese and Dutch. I can still faintly remember my grandmother on my father’s side had almost grey eyes.

Definitely, regardless of images on the internet I’m still going. Besides, it’s not just about girls there’s all the other stuff too.

Learning the language, seeing the sights, adapting to a different culture and surroundings and the food and so forth. I’m looking forward to a lot of things.

try google images ‘miss taiwan’ or ‘taiwanese girls’. Was the girl u dated 100% taiwanese?

requirement on birthplace or residency.

So you don’t have to be a complete Taiwanese to enter.

They seem to be US asians? Half of them look like they’re from Thailand or something. What are the entry requirements for Miss Taiwan World, just to be from Asia?

As for 99% TW girl’s are plastic, I have to say that’s over exaggerating. But a lot of them do wear overly done makeups.
