Some things in Taiwan are stupidly complicated. Try to get a car park, find some bootcut jeans or understand why McDonalds print the Chinese calendar date on their receipts and you’re likely to pull out your hair.

Puns aside, gay shopping in Taiwan on the otherhand is a comparatively straight forward affair.

I was walking down a department store aisle the other week when I came across this:

A purposefully built ‘glam’ aisle.

Whilst I’m pretty sure it was a ‘lost in translation’ thing it didn’t stop all the products featured in the glam section from being flamboyantly sequined and over designed.

I think every country should adopt the Taiwanese approach to stocking gay items. Just think, no more ‘wait what do you mean it’s gay?!’ moments after visiting the mall on my own.

Why leave anything to chance, it’d certainly make my shopping a lot less complicated!
